** Description changed: Just upgraded to Jaunty beta couple days ago (29th mar) and found that my syncmaster 151s run by xserver-xorg-video-savage driver (savage S3) shows the dreaded "video mode not supported" message instead of starting x. The screen worked fine under hardy so i copied the old xorg.conf - file over hoping that would be the fix. Alas no go. The screen - unfortunately will not even work under vesa or savage S3 with low - resolution set. Please help! I will attach the xrandr.log and - Xorg.0.log files later today. + (which i retrieved from xorg.conf.dist-upgrade-200903292116) file over + hoping that would be the fix. Alas no go. The screen unfortunately + will not even work under vesa or savage S3 with low resolution set. + Please help! Please see my Xorg.0.log and corresponding xorg.conf files + attached. PS I just hooked up an old IBM crt screen at work a few + minutes ago and that also failed to display an x.
