Public bug reported: I have a Dell Inspiron 1420 Laptop. It has a touch pad but I often attach a "Logitech Click! Optical Mouse". When the mouse is attached the laptop will never turn of its screen. The screen will stay constantly lit, even for days on end. When i disconnect the mouse the screen will go black as by default.
I did some investigation and i built this crosshair.cpp application here: http://www.unix.com/unix-linux-applications/81388-read-position-mouse-cursor.html I was thinking that maybe if my mouse is attached that the cursor would osculate endlessly keeping the machine from gong to sleep. However this is not the case, the chordates stay constant, however they are displayed as full integers. Is it possible that chordates could be a float and that it is too sensitive?
