It's not working again! Ok, so it was working earlier. I think there is a connection between playing sound on the internet and the bug on Rhythmbox. I was able to play the mp3 just fine after starting up the computer without playing sound on the internet. After I watch a video on the internet, the bug displays itself on Rhythmbox. When I try to play a mp3 in Rhythmbox it says its playing but there is no sound, the progress slider doesn't move, and the time elapsed counter stays at 0:00.
In the Ubuntu form, someone else was having this same problem and solved it. Below is a quote from there: "ok I did a bit of what I know how to do. I checked the services via gui under administration and the service named Audio Setting alsa-utils was unchecked. I checked and it worked!! Also I did notice that it appears the radio station I listen to via a website conflicts however that didn't seem to be the case when the service wasn't running." I have alsa-utils already installed. As far as your request of "may you please get a rhythmbox debug log by executing rhythmbox as: rhythmbox --debug &> rhythmbox-debug.txt perform the operation to reproduce the bug" I really don't understand how to go about this. I tried by opening up a Terminal window and pasting in "rhythmbox --debug &> rhythmbox-debug.txt" then hit enter. Nothing happens. All the stuff that is attached to my first post was placed there by the "Report a Problem" function in the "Help" menu in Rhythmbox. -- Rhythmbox isn't playing mp3 audio book cd https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/353566 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
