I agree with Kevin this bug has wandered from the original issue.
I'm closing this bug for the following reasons:
* It has the same upstream bug link as our bug #349992, so at heart is a dupe
of that. Bug 349992 is further along, shorter, and already assigned and
targeted, so it's the better report to focus on.
* Most comments in this report are due to vblank settings, which is an
unrelated issue now solved in Jaunty
* The original reporter is satisfied with the workaround of using UXA, and has
unsubscribed
* For general "performance sucks" complaints, we already have bug 252094
* This bug has a poorly selected title, and will accumulate more incorrect
'me-too's (even if we fix it)
