usually what i do is just go up to the "places" menu and select the partition i want to mount and it mounts to the desktop. in this case the partitions show up in the "places" menu but when i click on them nothing happens. i opened up gparted and they show up but there's no "space used/space free" info.
after installing ntfsprogs the "space used/space free" info shows up but they still refuse to mount to the desktop. typically (with 7.10, 8.04, and 8.10) they work right after install without having to update or install anything extra. -- [jaunty] can't mount/read ntfs https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/354215 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
