Public bug reported:
When I hit the "accent" key for example to write the word cant (between the n
and the t) when I press the key which I want to be accentuated I dont get an
accent but a loud beep from the system speaker.
So there are basically two issues, I cant write accents and the system beeps
(it should IMHO use the gnome beep and never the system speaker).
I have a german keyboard, its set to "generic 105-key pc" in the settings. The
german-specific keys work fine.
