Thanks for the quick reply. The following are some of the file types that I have on my local drive and the results of trying to play them in Totem:
flv - normal mpeg - half speed wmv - half speed divx - half speed wav - double speed mp3 - half speed However, I installed VLC, and it works, so I'm sticking with that.
