this bug has enough information provided for a developer to begin work,
I'm going to mark it as confirmed and let them handle it from here.
To reproduce this issue:
1. select any icon on the desktop
2. open thunar
3. drag the thunar across the icon a couple of times
4 note the distortion of the selected icon
