I downloaded the Ubuntu 9.04 Beta liveCD and test the modem. It works
very well with Network Manager 0.7.1~rc3.1.git4cf2da146-0ubuntu1.

I found that the modem doesn't accept the +FCLASS=0 command in the
initialization string.
