Public bug reported:
In my ASUS laptop I've an nVidia sound card:
00:10.1 Audio device: nVidia Corporation MCP51 High Definition Audio (rev a2)
This worked well in Kubuntu Hardy 32 bits. When moving the "wav" slider
in alsamixer or kmix the WAV volume was modified according to the new
value.
Now I've installed Kubuntu Jaunty 64 bits and the "wav" slider doesn't
work anymore. Changing it value doesn't affect at all to the volumen.
Also, the "Master" audio section has no slider, but just a mute
checkbox.
In both SO's (Kubuntu Hardy 32 bits and Jaunty 64 bits) the "Line"
slider works wrongly: changing it value produces an unexpected change in
the global volume, but this change doesn't correspond to the slider
value. This is, setting the "Line" slider more than 50% produces the
global audio to dissapear.
More info:
