Mark, the followsing command will always fail - sudo kcmshell4 fileshare
For it to succeed you must use kdesudo instead such as - kdesudo kcmshell4 fileshare and it should succeed. When using Dolphin to share a folder, if you don't have kdenetwork- filesharing then nothing will happen after you type in your admin password.
