I see this too, no wacom tablet, just a USB MS mouse. When I try the install from the Live environment, during the detecting hardware the screen goes blank. When it "returns", it comes back to the login prompt. The installer does not complete.
When installing from the boot prompt, again during the detecting hardware phase, the screen goes blank. Then the mouse cursor appears and responds ok, but then froze for a few seconds, then went a bit jerky, then comes good again.
