Public bug reported: The problem occurs when trying to suspend or hibernate using the power button (and resulting menu) or by leaving the netbook until the battery runs low and then it tries to hibernate.
The problem occurs when trying to suspend or hibernate, not in waking up. It happens every time. The symptom is that I get a black text mode screen with a flashing cursor in the top left corner. Nothing responds, and I need to hold down the power button to power it off. When I power back on, there is no sign of resuming - it does a normal boot up. This is a new model of netbook - Quanta UW1 - and suspend/hibernate have not ever worked with it (on Intrepid or Jaunty). ProblemType: KernelOops Annotation: This occured during a previous suspend and prevented it from resuming properly.
