Public bug reported:

When I run the internal connection (internal loop) then all connections
show up, but if I do not run the internal connection (internal loop) it
will never show the connection. I will not get a message stating there
is a connection available, it just will not show anything. Once I have
made the connection to my own IP address, then anyone wanting access
will show up with a mini message. My choice whether to allow or refuse
access appears. Remote Desktop Viewer, Remote Desktop preferences for
setup.

This is the internal connection I have to make before external
connections work.
