** Also affects: gnome-panel (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
** Description changed:
Binary package hint: xorg
I have random screen flashes in Jaunty beta, where the screen goes black
- for a split second. The bug is sort of the same as the old (and fixed)
- Bug 91404 but it seems to have resurfaced here in Jaunty. My video card
- is GMA X 3000 and my driver is xserver-xorg-video-intel.
+ for a split second. Similar flashes appear when I play around with the
+ brightness applet in the gnome-panel.
+
+ To reproduce:
+ 1) put brightness applet in your panel
+ 2) use mouse to push brightness to the max
+ 3) now keep pulling the button up (even after you reached the max)
+
+ Result: button slides down again. This is funny and it goes along with
+ various uncanny dark flashes of the screen.
