I can confirm the fix presented by DEFHol on a Dell XPS M1330. my uname is: Linux 2.6.28-11-generic #40-Ubuntu SMP x86_64 GNU/Linux I don't have Intel video, so I just did the "dpkg-reconfigure -a", and it worked fine. Everything working up to par.
