Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: vino
I had my computer (Dell Latitude D520) setup to work with remote desktop
(VNC) from my windows computer in 8.04 and 8.10. When I upgraded to the
9.04 beta, the mouse pointer that is displayed on my windows client is
offset from where the mouse pointer actually is on the screen.
I setup remote desktop originally (8.04) by selecting
System->Preferences->Remote Desktop, then selecting "Allow others to
control your desktop" and "Require the user to enter this password".
Nothing else in my setup changed except the upgrade from 8.10 to 9.04
beta.
The cursor is only a little bit off in the upper left corner of the
screen. When I place it in the ubuntu logo, in the middle of the circle
(in the VNC session), it is actually (on the real screen) over the right
red arm, just below the orange arm. To put the actual cursor (on the
real screen) in the bottom right corner, I need to move the cursor (in
VNC) about 3/4 the way across the screen (from left to right) and about
3/4 the way down the screen (from top to bottom).
** Affects: vino (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
