Public bug reported: Binary package hint: language-selector
When choosing a language using the language selector, the packages needed to read .pdf files are not installed automatically. The user will not be able to read pdf files in the selected language. This should be fairly easy to correct. For example if a user selects Japanese, the script will apt-get install "xpdf-japanese" and so on. For a list of the languages that need special xpdf-packages, please see http://www.foolabs.com/xpdf/download.html By the way, The xpdf packages work for both xpdf (ubuntu) and kpdf (kubuntu) ** Affects: language-selector (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Language selector does not install pdf language support https://launchpad.net/bugs/78396 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
