Hey guys, just wanted to share that this problem seems to come from a bug in the SASL digest implementation of Pidgin.
Look at the decoded response in the above traffic log: username="jbodnar",realm="tools.convio.com",nonce="iEfUW5tro8QVWzrKxCcKfOowolJVi9DqqJnyBusF",cnonce="03HW6xgJXtyRTtkChwlZZE3pnrkNG5VaPUl8PrkLGS8=",nc=00000001,qop=auth,digest-uri="xmpp/chat.corp.convio.com",response=f97f7b6a33497414ee7c6328bfcc7750 The "uri" field of the response is incorrect. Pidgin appears to take the address from the DNS SRV lookup instead of the user's JID hostname. If realm and uri contained the same host name then it should work. -- pidgin 2.2.1 cannot connect to certain XMPP servers https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/174248 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
