I'm able to reproduce this with multiple different vnc clients connecting to the vnc server of a kvm guest (e.g. started by "kvm -cdrom /home/data/iso/ubuntu/jaunty-daily-i386.iso -m 512 -vnc :2"); I also do not see this when connecting to other kinds of vnc servers (e.g. vnc4server).
