Dear Gurus, I tried the suggested fix and it only NEARLY worked for me: I got the following error:
> Not enough free disk space > The upgrade aborts now. The upgrade needs a total of 2416M free > space on disk '/'. Please free at least an additional 842M of disk space > on > '/'. Empty your trash and remove temporary packages of former > installations using 'sudo apt-get clean'. > > Restoring original system state > > Aborting > Reading package lists: Done > Reading state information: Done > Reading state information: Done > Reading state information: Done I've already thrown out over 4Gb from my home directory but I still get the error. Does anyone have any suggestions? I've spent all day trying to upgrade to 7.10 from 7.04 but I just can't get it past this state. (Sorry if this isn't the write place to post questions but I couldn't find where to submit questions on the web-page for this bug.)
