Sorry for replying a half year too late, but I were not subscribed to gimmie's bugs in Ubuntu (I am now).
The version maintained in Debian is stable and will be supported until (a) GnomeVFS gets removed. (b) Python 3.X becomes the default python version (c) A required extension is not available anymore for Python 2.X (d) someone convinces me that I really should stop maintaining it. (e) the 'Mayanna' project produces something [useful] that I can package. Gimmie currently has about 200 reported users in Debian, and 5203 reported users in Ubuntu. Simply dropping such a package is no good idea. I am maintaining the package activily, it works, its shipped in Debian 5.0, etc. -- gimmie upstream says "please don't use it" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/257154 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
