Would you be willing to confirm if this issue remains in the upcoming
Jaunty 9.04 release, currently in it's Beta stage -
http://www.ubuntu.com/testing . It contains a 2.6.28 based kernel. The
reason I ask is that according to the Stable Release Update policy the
issue must be confirmed as resolved in the actively developed release
before a fix can be considered for backporting -
