Public bug reported:
I previously got ath5k driver by installling the linux-backports-
modules-intrepid and adding the following two lines to
/etc/modprobe.d/blacklist
blacklist ath_hal
blacklist ath_pci
I then performed an online upgrade to jaunty by changing my software sources.
On applying recent updates to Jaunty, the ath5k driver seems to have vanished.
I noticed linux-backports-modules-jaunty was not installed and linux-
backports-modules-intrepid did not exist in Synaptic so I intstalled
that also without success.
sudo modprobe ath5k yields the following
x...@xxxx:~$ sudo modprobe ath5k
WARNING: All config files need .conf: /etc/modprobe.d/nvidia-kernel-nkc, it
will be ignored in a future release.
FATAL: Module ath5k not found.
