I have run more thourough tests of this phenomenon: For connection lost all iconsets are using the image referenced above. However, there is no connection established icon.
Here are all the iconsets I tested: Gnome Colours Human GNOME High Contrast Inverse Meliae Dark/Dust Oxygen Tangerine Breathe (PPA) Dropline Neu Eikon This was found to be true in all of them.
