Installed Xubuntu Intrepid just fine with the alternate CD because of the low-performance laptop, running Zenwalk Linux now, for better performance. The bug was caused if I was not connected to the internet during installation. If I plugged in the ethernet after finishing the install, It would not be recognised, If I had it plugged in during the install, It worked.
