Feisty Desktop -> Gutsy -> Hardy -> Intrepid -> Jaunty, with almost every devel
version in-between. I experienced the problem upon upgrading to Jaunty and I
added
# pts support
devpts /dev/pts devpts rw 0 0
to my fstab to work around it. I don't remember doing anything related to
startup except for a couple of custom init scripts, which shouldn't be the
problem. But I do have webmin installed.
