I just read what i wrote 2 posts above and i forgot to say one important thing. Before my system crashed to the point i cant access my system partition everything was working perfect, and i think the problems were solved by installing some newer kernel. The system was 8.04 Ubuntu, i never upgraded to 8.10 version. Thats why i said to do the sudo apt-get update.
Im also having problems with not recognizing sata/ata devices in bios (as someone already mentioned). I need to unplug the power cable to get them recognized again. Pushing the I/O switch on psu (chieftec 360W) doesnt help.
