Public bug reported:
This is tested on Ubuntu and Xubuntu 9.04 beta release, 64-bit.
Similar to bug 323473 which I reported a while back and which was fixed,
this is the same problem but with an Edimax EW-7717UN USB wifi-n
adapter. This device uses the Ralink rt2870 chipset.
Here's the line from lsusb showing the device ID:
ubu...@ubuntu:~/RT2870$ lsusb
Bus 008 Device 003: ID 7392:7717
This is the line I added to list of devices in the file located at
"include/rt2870.h" in the source code available from ralink:
{USB_DEVICE(0x7392,0x7717)}, /* Edimax */ \
I seem to have bad luck choosing wireless adapters for out-of-the-box
support. :(
