The line above regarding source code applies to the 1.4.0.0 revision of the code. That fix works for 8.10 and the Alphas of 9.04 up until the rt2870 driver was included.
I just tried the 2.1.0.0 code that was released on 2 March 2009 on Ubuntu 8.10; while this code recognizes the adapter without entering a device ID anywhere (I couldn't find a device listing in the code they provide) the device wasn't able to connect to my network for some reason. If the included rt2870 driver is using the updated code I'm not sure how this would apply to that. Just wanted to clarify; I hadn't realized they'd released an update. -- Edimax rt2870 USB wifi adapter not enabled by included driver https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/360125 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
