Turning off the option for Ctrl to show mouse cursor fixed the problem
for me as well. As soon as I turned it off all of my hotkeys for things
such as Browser and Search started working. It seems to affect any
shortcut that includes Ctrl and maybe a letter because my hotkey for
showing Desktop (Ctrl+SuperL+Alt) was never affected.
