I've packaged gnome-globalmenu for jaunty in my ppa (https://launchpad.net/~gkulyk/+archive/ppa). Please note that this is not an official release of the gnome-globalmenu team, so please contact me if there are some problems, not the team-members.
I took the released tarball from upstream, and I've reworked the package-layout. Please test it and tell me, if everything works as expected and what you're thinking about the new layout. Help would be apreciated in improving package-descriptions - I'm not a native english speaker.
