UXA is not going to be enabled by default in Jaunty, since it is not stable. In my case, I am experiencing frequent X freezes. So, to stress the point, using UXA is out of question, atleast for now.
If this bug can't be fixed before the final release, I would suggest going back to the older versions of the driver packages where it was working fine !! It is very important that the desktop should be usable, by the time the release happens. Otherwise, users would be forced to switch back to older versions like Intrepid !!
