Your point accepted - and thanks for the action. User Help is a delicate area - any user problem is a prima facie case for improvement!
I got to the wrong (File-Open) context by searching for Bookmarks and selecting the 'Introduction to the Desktop' entry. The search was prompted by the fact that I could not find how to manage my bookmarks. I am now able to do so, but only by the indirect route of opening the bookmarked item, then editing it or whatever from the Nautilus menu. If there is a more direct route that works on the Desktop Menu list it would be really useful to have it signposted in the System Help route. If there isn't, I can foresee problems for users who need to delete a newly dysfunctional bookmark to a removable or network target. The workaround of using a working bookmark to get to the edit menu will not necessarily be obvious to the target audience for the Help documentation.. Having said all this, somebody who knows the system better than I do is better placed to know what to do about it - if anything. -- Inaccurate nautilus bookmark Help docs https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/359700 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
