Public bug reported:
This bug is easy for me to demonstrate: open System/Preferences/Search
and Indexing. The Tracker Preferences dialog appears. Select the Email
tab and un-check the checkbox for email indexing. Click 'Apply', then
'OK'.
Now re-open the dialog and again select the Email tab. The checkbox is
still checked.
