Public bug reported:

I noticed that when I close Firefox on Ubuntu 9.04, I can always see a
message telling me that the application is not responding.

After a while the application closes and so does the system message.

I don't know too much about OS architecture but maybe this problem is
related to a system watchdog being triggered to early. The application
starts closing and stops responding to the kernel "ping", rising a
system message about the application not responding. I guess increasing
that timeout would prevent such problem.
