Public bug reported:
Laptop failed to go to suspend state (I didn't want to suspend it, but
it seems that I missed the menu option).
It entered a strange state where power-on button didn't wake it up. I
had to remove the power and the battery to start it up again.
It became dangerously hot: sensors-applet after startup showed more than
60 °C after fans were running full speed for a minute or so.

Annotation: This occured during a previous suspend and prevented it from
resuming properly.
