Installed a fresh copy of Jaunty beta on my machine, with no updates except for the installation of the nvidia driver.
Fresh alsa-info.sh output here: http://www.alsa- project.org/db/?f=03d229143b86b0328b0e3ece8426099e5348dc53 To make sound come out of the headphones, I must go into gnome-volume- control and unmute "Surround" (this has to first be added via Preferences > check the Surround box). To turn off the internal speakers, I have to mute "Front" in gnome- volume-control. The "Headphone" checkbox in the "Switches" tab has no effect on headphone playback. I'd be happy to do whatever needs to be done to resolve this issue, thanks! -- Acer Aspire 4530 headphones do not work when plugged in, also doesn't mute speakers https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/360181 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
