I thought this bug was gone but now I actually discovered how to reproduce it again. I've also attached some screenshots in an archive. Follow these steps:
1. Open OO.org Writer with a blank document. 2. Make sure the Styles and Formatting window is visible (press F11 to open it). 3. Make sure the Styles and Formatting window is NOT attached to the main Writer window. If it is attached to the main Writer window, deattach it by clicking on it and dragging it out onto the screen so that it gets another window. 4. Right-click on any style, click Modify so that the "edit style" window appears. 5. Now, and this is important: click on the Styles and Formatting window again and bring it out in front of the "edit style" window. Make sure it's active (i.e. the window title text should be highlighted). 6. Press ESC to close the Styles and Formatting window. 7. Close the "edit style" window by pressing ESC or clicking Cancel. The crash occurs! This is the Ubuntu version and the second OO.org version I've seen this error on. One improvement is that in OO.org 2, the "edit style" window actually always showed up BEHIND the Styles and Formatting window, making this bug occur quite often. In OO.org 3, it seems the "edit style" window shows up the way it should, the crash occur more rarely and the bug less irritating. ** Attachment added: "styles-crash.tar.gz" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/25468829/styles-crash.tar.gz -- Crash in Styles and Formatting https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/276866 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
