Thanks so much for filing this bug. It seems this may have been a grub
issue if your menu.lst didn't update accordingly. But I'm glad to hear
you were manually able to get the new kernel running. Could you take a
look at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingUpdateManager particularly the
Debugging Procedures section. If you could attach each of the files
listed there it may help us narrow down what failed. Thanks.
