Confirmed that I have the same problem. EXA works for me, but UXA not, black screen when logout. And UXA doesn't seem to improve the performance much. I have my kbunutu 8.04 upgraded to kubuntu 9.04 directly. My laptop is Thinkpad T61.To support dual screen, I added "Virtual 2560 1824" in the section screen of xorg.conf.
