(Please don't assign bugs to me unless you're my manager or I've
explicitly consented. You can always ask me on IRC.)

This puts the cart before the horse. langnames.inc is actually
autogenerated from other sources, and everything will work a lot more
smoothly if you do things in the right order. The scrape-console-setup
change should be made elsewhere first, and "ky" is not a valid keyboard
layout name anyway; according to http://cgit.freedesktop.org/xkeyboard-
config/tree/symbols/kg it should be "kg". Finally, the translation
should be done in Launchpad
(http://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/jaunty/+source/gfxboot-theme-
ubuntu/+pots/bootloader) rather than sent to me in a bug report.

The first step in adding a new language to Ubuntu at the installer level
is to get d-i (the Debian installer) translated in Debian. This is a
well-documented process:

  http://d-i.alioth.debian.org/doc/i18n/

Once you've done this, you can contact me (preferably by e-mail to
[email protected] or by IRC as cjwatson on irc.freenode.net) and I can
then arrange for the necessary bits to be updated in Ubuntu.
