Public bug reported:

I get these errors in /var/log/kern.log every 2-60 minutes:

Jan 9 23:32:26 localhost kernel: [17183845.400000] ata2 is slow to respond,
please be patient
Jan 9 23:32:51 localhost kernel: [17183870.376000] ata2 failed to respond (30
secs)
Jan 9 23:32:51 localhost kernel: [17183870.388000] ata2: command 0xa0 timeout,
stat 0xd0 host_stat 0x60
Jan 9 23:32:51 localhost kernel: [17183870.388000] ata2: translated ATA
stat/err 0xd0/00 to SCSI SK/ASC/ASCQ 0xb/47/00

They don't seem to be connected with anything, but every time they
happen, the computer freezes for about 45 seconds.

I'm running Ubuntu 6.10 on a dual core laptop with the generic kernel.

** Affects: Ubuntu
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
