This definitely shouldn't happen, but we need logs from you in order to
make even an educated guess at the problem. Please attach
/var/log/installer/syslog and /var/log/installer/partman to this bug.

My /etc/fstab is blank in xubuntu 9.04 beta, others I have talked to have the
same problem.
