Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus
After booting my HP NC8000 laptop PC, I place a data CD in my laptop's CD drive and go to Places--> Computer and double-click on the CD-RW/DVD- ROM Drive shortcut. When I do this, I get the following error message: Unable to mount location Can't mount file There is also a DBus error message that pops up when I place a data disc in the CD drive. I also cannot open DVD or CD Audio discs and get the same error as above: Unable to mount location Can't mount file This error has been reported several times with users running Ubuntu 8.10, please see the following posts: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1118041&highlight=unable+mount+CDROM http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1047843&highlight=unable+mount+CDROM I have attached the output of lspci and dmesg to this report, please update with any additional logfile/information you need.
