The document that it fails on is *not* a columnar document. (A columnar
document is like a newspaper or many magazines. In such a document you
read down one column then down the next column. So you want to be able
to select and copy just a single column.) The document referenced in
this bug report is an ordinary text document where the "words" and
spaces are right to make it appear in columns. You read it left to
right clear across the page. So this bug is not a duplicate of 33288,
which concerns columnar documents.
