On my GMA X3100 not using the patch 103 (same as 7.4-0ubuntu2~bug359392~1 packages) fixed the problem completely. Unfortunatelty the 7.4-0ubuntu2~bug359392~1 packages cannot be anymore easily installed as there was a "real" ubuntu2 release of mesa as well.
