** Description changed: Upon installing updates to the Ubuntu Jaunty 9.04 Beta on 04/14/09, when I would shutdown or reboot the computer ( I use verbose without splash ) instead of the usual single root broadcast that the "computer is going for a reboot NOW!" and then shutting down services like ALSA etc, the - screen is now flooded with multiple broadcast messages. This happens on - both reboot and shutdown. + screen is now flooded with multiples of the broadcast message. This + happens on both reboot and shutdown. I even tried a fresh installation with the Jaunty 9.04 RC, and this behaviour was still present. It was not present in any Jaunty Alpha/Beta up until 04/14/09.
