I followed these instructions https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Backtrace replacing the first line of stage 2 with gdb /usr/lib/evolution/evolution-data-server-2.26 2>&1 | tee gdb-evolution-data-server.txt I didn't add any arguments at the run command. the server didn't crash, so I had to ctrl-c at stage , but I continued with the instructions to stage 5.
