** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: sqlite3

  UPDATE:
  It seems that syncing this package would provide a fix for these bugs:
   * bug #353064
   * bug #363192

+ KNOWN DOWNSIDES:
+ * Segfault when table contains default value:
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=524166 (affects gammu)
+
+ Original report:
  Please sync sqlite3 3.6.12-1 from Debian testing (also in unstable). There
are features as well as improvements in processing speed. One of the features I
would love and expect to see in jaunty is
  a) the "hot-backup" interface [1][2] - ubuntu-server folks who use sqlite3
would benefit from this live backup feature.
  b) the .backup and .restore in the command line application.
  c) the performance improvements in count(*) - If I'm not mistaken, one of the
goals in jaunty is speed and performance.

  Unfortunately, there's a lot of packages depending on this (see
  rdepends.txt), so I really don't know if it should be considered for
  jaunty. But the wish for live backup remains. :)

  $ apt-cache policy sqlite3
  sqlite3:
    Installed: 3.6.10-1
    Candidate: 3.6.10-1
    Version table:
   *** 3.6.10-1 0
          500 http://archive.ubuntu.com jaunty/main Packages
          100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

  2009 March 31 (3.6.12)
      * Fixed a bug that caused database corruption when an incremental_vacuum
is rolled back in an in-memory database. Ticket #3761.
      * Added the sqlite3_unlock_notify() interface.
      * Added the reverse_unordered_selects pragma.
      * The default page size on windows is automatically adjusted to match the
capabilities of the underlying filesystem.
      * Add the new ".genfkey" command in the CLI for generating triggers to
implement foreign key constraints.
      * Performance improvements for "count(*)" queries.
      * Reduce the amount of heap memory used, especially by TRIGGERs.

  2009 Feb 18 (3.6.11)
      * Added the hot-backup interface.
      * Added new commands ".backup" and ".restore" to the CLI.
      * Added new methods backup and restore to the TCL interface.
      * Improvements to the syntax bubble diagrams
      * Various minor bug fixes

  Package-wise, since 3.6.10-1 there are some improvements/features:
   * Fixed an unnecessary dependency on a .la file:
http://bugs.debian.org/520478
   * Enabled ICU support: http://bugs.debian.org/494987
